It's my anniversary and I'll cry if I want to

Ok, I'm not going to cry. probably.

The thing about being married to the military is that there's no guarantee that your husband will be around for important events. So it's no real surprise that today is our 3 year anniversary and he is still out to sea.

Honestly I just now remembered what day it was. I knew our anniversary was on the 30th of course, I just didn't know today IS the 30th.  I've been thinking it was Tuesday all day.   I guess that is kind of a good thing, that the days just keep flying by, because each day is a day closer to his homecoming.

I miss you baby, and I can't wait for you to get home.

Day 19: Talent 

I don't know if I'm really talented at anything.  Maybe baking.  I'm pretty good at that.

Day 20: Hobby

My hobbies are reading, baking, and scrapbooking.

Day 12: Jackson's 2nd Bday Party!

Jackson's birthday party was Saturday and it was Dora and Diego themed! We had a great time and Jackson got SO MANY presents. Is there anyone more spoiled than a 2 year old? Specifically, a 2 year old who is the only grandbaby on both sides of the family? I really don't think so!

I'm interrupting the regular scheduled programming because my BABY turns 2 TODAY

and I am freaking out. just a little bit. because my BABY is not a baby anymore. He hasn't really been a baby for quite awhile but I'm trying not to think about that.

I sat down to write one of those sweet, emotional birthday letters.  But I can't, not right now. I have tears in my eyes just thinking about it.  And since I'm sitting in a coffee shop, I can't really give in and start bawling. *sigh*

So I'm just going to wipe my eyes and try not to think about how I'm going to blink again and he'll be graduating high school and leaving me.  He's only 2 for crying out loud, I need to get a grip.

This IS a happy day, it truly is.

Day 6: Secret Fear

Today is a "write whatever you want day" so I picked a secret fear of mine. Of course I am scared of things like rats, tornadoes, etc. But I have another fear that I rarely admit. 

I'm scared of being one of those people who "didn't know they were pregnant!" LOL Ridiculous right? But I've actually known two people in real life who didn't know they were pregnant until they gave birth (one thought she was going through menopause, they other was on drugs).  Then TLC came out with that show about all those women who didn't know they were pregnant.  I just don't understand how they could NOT know. I understand maybe not knowing for a few months, but there were times when I was pregnant that I couldn't sleep at night b/c Jackson was kicking me in the ribs. If you don't know you're pregnant, what in the world do you think is going on when that happens?

But obviously this happens more than one would think, so somehow it has worked its way into my mind that I might become one of those people!

Day 4: Favorite Books

I love lots of series, and have lots of favorite authors. But my all time favorite books are:

These are not only my favorite books but are some of the only books that I actually like enough to read over and over again.  Every year I re-read the entire series before each new book/movie comes out. And I can hardly believe that the books are done and the movies are ALMOST done. *sigh*

Oh how do I choose? I have lots of favorite movies. 

Armageddon always, always makes me cry, no matter how many times I've seen it.

Eurotrip.  is. hilarious. And "Scotty Doesn't Know" might just be the best song ever.

Boondock Saints- for total badassery. 

Now & Then because it was a childhood favorite. 

The whole Harry Potter series (because I am a huge nerd, I think we've established this)

with each one getting better and better. 

 Moulin Rouge is one of my favorite musicals/love stories ever. 

The Family Stone is my favorite holiday movie and makes me want to have lots and lots of kids. 

But possibly my favorite movie of all time (for now anyway) is Love, Actually.
