Welcome SITSas! I'm so glad you could visit! I'm Cassie, a former teacher and current SAHM. My husband is a Navy submariner and is currently deployed. We have one son, Jackson, who is about to turn 2 years old. I can hardly believe how fast he is growing!
My New Years Resolution this year was to lose 30 pounds. I only have 7 lbs left to go! I posted a little bit about my progress a few weeks ago: Breaking Barriers: With Progress Pics and GASP! My Real Weight.

only 7 pounds left?! that's so awesome! funny thing--i just blogged about my real weight last week. and it was so much better than i thought it would be. lots of support and love from my readers, plus the added bonus of extra accountability for me.
and i read your post from a couple days ago, i hope your sits day makes things look a little brighter. i can't imagine having my husband deployed, and i feel for you. here's to this week being better than your last!

It must be difficult to be a "single" mom part of the year (or much of it?). I have two friends whose husbands are in the army. One just returned from Iraq, and the other is in Afganistan. I know they get lonely and carry such a big responsibility. Thanks for sharing your husband with our country!

Hi! I am new to SITS and enjoyed getting to know your blog! Your son is so cute. I am way past that cute two year old stage and I miss those days. I have a 16 year old that keeps me on my toes but it isn't as much fun, some days...lol.

I've been dieting on and off for basically the past year since my son was born, and I've been able to lose 37 pounds since the day I came home from the hospital! I admire so much all military wives and I have met a number now through blogging, dealing as you do with long periods of time of solo parenting. Your son is adorable, and at that age when I think it all becomes truly magical as they grow and change so much, every day.

Used to think the kids could sense when the plane door had closed and had pushed back from the gate -- as the time to throw up, run a fever, break out into a rash...UGH!
