Tot School: Easter theme

Tot School

Jackson is 21 months old.

This week's theme was Easter! Once again, I had a lot planned but we didn't get it all done. We had visitors for most of the week!

Books:
Owen's Marshmallow Chick by Kevin Henkes
The Easter Story  by Patricia A. Pingry
Happy Easter, Biscuit! by Alyssa Satin Capucilli (lift-the flap, which Jackson just loves!)

Music:
Here comes Peter Cottontail (lyrics)
Hippity Hop by the Fresh Beat Band (video)

and I made Jackson some Easter egg shakers. He loved them! Can you tell? ha.

We spent some time just playing with some plastic eggs, counting and sorting them.

Outdoor play:
Sidewalk Chalk

Jackson scribbled a little bit, but then he tried to eat the chalk, realized it was disgusting, and wanted no more to do with this activity!

Art:
Easter eggs decorated with do-a-dots and stickers.

We used cotton balls to paint this bunny.

Handprint Easter bunny

Snack: Easter cupcakes

And of course he went on another Easter egg hunt.

Non-themed/fine motor skills:
Jackson got a "Jackson" puzzle and some new blocks in his Easter basket from his Nana.

We took 2 day trips to Savannah this week and spent lots of time with my sister, aunt and grandmother who all came to visit us! So stay tuned for those pictures :)

You chalk comment made me laugh...apparently Noah thinks chalk is pretty yummy because he tries to eat it every time! Great stuff this week:)

What a fun week! My son still like to eat his chalk even after he realizes how bad it tastes : )

Yummy chalk! That will definitely make a kid thirsty! Too funny. Thanks for sharing.

Stopping by from SITS! He is adorable as can be, and I love the look on his face in the "chalk" picture. He just looks so disgusted!

I was planning on going outside with Noah and the chalk this week, but it's been raining. We'll see if he tries to eat it too

Thankfully Sophie has not tried chalk yet....I am surprised!
I know what you mean about having a ton planned and getting to little...that is how I feel this week.
