Savannah Day 1

Last week my friend Erin came to visit me during her Spring Break (she's a teacher). It was SO much fun.  We stayed up late each night drinking lots of wine and talking about everything and everyone. We had so much to catch up on!

While she was here, we took a day trip to Savannah.  We spent all day just walking around and looking at everything. Erin is a huge history buff, so we stopped and read every single historical marker that we came across. Have you been to Savannah? Because there are a lot of those! Here are a few highlights:

We ate lunch at the Crystal Beer Parlor.  We had the best crab dip I've ever tasted, and an AMAZING dessert: egg rolls filled with peanut butter, bananas & chocolate, covered in sugar and served with vanilla ice cream & caramel.  I think I would drive back there just to get that again!

10 love me:

I've lived in GA all my life and have never been to Savannah. Crazy, huh?!

I have been to Savannah a couple times for less than a day. It is a fascinating city. Did you see the Mercer house from Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil?

That sounds like a fun day trip! We don't have many fun things like that here in good ole, WY! Just yellowstone, but it's a drive...

I've never been to Savannah, but it's definitely on my list!! My college roommate was from there and she always had wonderful things to say about that city.

Looks like a fun day!

I went to Savannah once as a kid and remember it being so beautiful. I'd love to go back soon, the food you described sounds amazing!
