We read SO many books this week! We read:
Dora's Book of Manners
Clifford: Where is the Big Red Doggie
Quack! by Phyllis Root
Duck & Goose 1,2,3
Doggies
Songs: 5 Little Ducks & How much is that doggy in the window?
We focused on "D" activities this week. Jackson spent a lot of time chasing our dog around the yard and trying to play ball with him!
I made Jackson a small felt board out of cardboard and sticky felt, then printed off some duck and dog clipart to put on the board and play with.
We made drums out of pots.
He colored a dog with markers and a duck with do-a-dot markers.
We got out his Yo Gabba Gabba radio and danced. He likes to hold his radio while he dances!
We took a drive....
.....out to the pond to watch the ducks. Jackson loved this activity! He just laughed and laughed at the ducks. They came right up to us. I guess they are used to people feeding them, but I didn't even think about taking bread or something like that with us.
Jackson ate dog and dinosaur sandwiches and had apples with caramel dip for lunch.
We went to the park one day and I forgot my camera, but we went down the slide and Jackson had fun digging in the sand with the other kids. I didn't get pictures of him playing with his rubber duckies in the bath either: we sang 5 Little Ducks a lot this week!
Saturday there was a Softball/BBQ picnic for Jason's boat. We spent most of the time chasing Jackson around the softball field (and trying to keep him from splashing through the mud!)

13 love me:
Those days are priceless!~ I love the ones of him bagging the pots and pans!~ I made my boys their own cupboards that they could pull stuff out and do this, it worked out great!
We went to the pond too. My little girl loves when the ducks come up to us. She tries to pet them. I am just glad she has never been able to touch one.
Such a fun week!!! I like your felt board :)
Okay you should post the 5 little ducks song on your blog...I don't think I have ever heard it! I have heard a lot of those types of songs, except that one.
Love your activities!
Sounds like a fun week! My daughter likes making drums out of pans too!
My little guy loves banging on things and turns anything into a drum these days. It's cute now, but if is a drummer in HS I am so screwed! :)
P.S. I've left a little something for you over on my blog.
"Driving" to the pond is definitely a must in beautiful weather. We unfortunately have geese at the pond close to us, and they scare me! Those things are mean!
Fabulous week! I love the drive to the pond. LOL
What a fun week! You really keep Jackson active in learning and introducing him to many new things. That is so wonderful!! You are a good mom!!!
how fun! looks like a great week. esp the ducks. I need to take G back to the ducks now that it is warming back up.
I don't think I have told you this before, but I am really impressed with what you are doing with Jackson! You will treasure these days and he will learn so much!!
Love the dog and dinosaur sandwiches. So creative!
Great week as usual!
Question, how did you make your felt dogs/ducks? Did you glue the paper to felt or print on fabric that can go through the printer?
