Tot School: Blocks, Balls & Bubbles

Tot School

Jackson is 20 months old.

We did a "B" theme this week. We are concentrating on the B sounds, not really on letter recognition. Which basically means we did a lot of activities so that I could reinforce the "ba" sound he makes and try to get him to say full words.

Books: Big/Little and Blankie by Leslie Patricelli

Snack: bananas & blueberries

Basketball

Other balls

Blocks

Bus
 Song: Wheels on the Bus

Jackson used markers for the first time, to color a picture of Blue.

Bowling

I made bowling pins out of Jackson's snack canisters (I saw this on someone's blog but can't remember where.) and tried to teach him how to bowl. It is so funny to watch! He stacks up the pins, then knocks them over with his hands, jumps up, grabs the ball, and throws it across the room! Not quite right, but he had so much fun!

We read Blue by Patricia Stockland and played with a basket of blue toys.

Bubbles (My fave photos of the week!)

I love all of the fun things you do with Jackson. I will definitely be "stealing" some of these ideas when Little Ricky gets a little older!

What a fun week! I love the idea of just giving the child a lot of exposure to one sound during the week.

Great week! Love the bowling pins:) The sticker pages are from the My First Sticker & Gluing (or something like that) workbook from Kumon...I got ours at Walmart, but I've seen them at Target and Barnes & Noble too.

I love the bubbles pictures! And what a great idea to use the snack containers for bowling pins! I am all about cheap, easy, and recycled! :)
