WW: The Zoo
Saturday wasn't supposed to be rainy, so we headed down to the zoo in Jacksonville. We went ahead and bought a year membership so we can go whenever we want for free (have I mentioned we love the zoo?) Anyway, the zoo is pretty big and it looks like it has a lot of neat things. We only saw maybe half of the animals before it started raining and we had to leave. I already can't wait to go back!

wait...j'ville as in like 2 hours away from the hatch? it's on 1-10? no wait, that's tallahassee, right? j'ville is about 4-5 hours. never mind. i was gonna say if it was 2 hours, me, abbers, dede and nanny could road trip it in the 4runner. forget that idea. sorry.
The Zoo really is great! There is nothing I enjoy more than experiencing it through my kids eyes.
We love the zoo too!!! I lived in Jax years ago but never made it to the zoo there...

Aw...I like zoos too...like I feel sad for the animals but then I think they were born in captivity, and they are really cute, and zookeepers really love them so...go zoos! :D

What fun pics! I also love the zoo, and we also have a membership to our zoo yet we haven't been in forever! I think I will have to scout the weather forecast for a good day to go soon! I love that last picture the best - he looks like he wants to say, "Mom, put away the camera and take me to see more animals already!"
Zoos are always so fun! We did the Pittsburg Zoo in pouring rain! It was cold and we still continued!

It is a shame that it rained. It was suppose to rain all weekend in Maryland, but did not wind up raining till Monday afternoon. I have not been to the zoo in a long time. I should take the kids soon.
Love the zoo and taking kids (grandkids) to the zoo! I used to go show them to the monkeys too! Love your blog (my daughter is a navy wife too).
Your son is adorable! I can't wait to take my daughter when she is actually awake....we took her at 3 months and she slept through the whole thing (understandably). I love the zoo!

Great pictures! I have a picture of my husband and son in that exact same spot in the Giraffe hut. We went there on vacation last year and had to cut our visit short because of the rain. We really liked what we saw!
