Memories of my
travels across Europe are
in my head today
I lived in Belgium
where we visited a huge
sandcastle display
In London there was
so much to see- Buckingham
Palace, the Eye, plus
Big Ben, and much more.
We saw Chicago on the
West End and we slept
in the crappiest
hotel ever, 2 girls stuck
in a twin sized bed.
I
We saw cathedrals
everywhere we went. This
is St. Patrick's in
Dublin. Then I was
"that damn American" when
I walked by this bar....

I visited my
friend Garima in "The Dam."
Big wooden shoes were
everywhere and
the Red Light District was sort
of scary! Sex shops.

Champagne tours and the
Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame,
and the Louvre. France obv.

In Italy we
saw Gladiators and ate
gelato before
going inside the
Colloseum. We threw our
pennies into the
fountain of Trevi
so that one day we can go
back. I will go back.

13 love me:
mmm....the gelato in Italy!! When we were there I was pregnant with Avery so I have me some serious gelato. We were in Venice and at stopped to get one at just about every stand or store we passed that was selling it!
I LOVE Europe and was lucky to be able to live there as a kid for 3 years and travel and then go back as an adult to visit my sister who lived in Germany... my cousin and her family are moving to Italy the end of the year....road trip (ok, maybe air trip)!!!
I'm living back here in the states after living overseas. It is funny how the memories come. Sometimes it seems like it was all a dream. When we were away I missed the US and now I miss being away. LOL.
What a wonderful way to share your adventures sweetie, and what memories were created. Funny those big wooden shoes look just like the ones my children have to wear - a gift from a friend to celebrate St. Nicholas. Excellent haiku.
