I am not an idiot

I was typing a blog and apparently I had hit the insert key on my husband's computer. I needed to turn it off because it was seriously messing me up, but I couldn't find it because his laptop keyboard is slightly different than mine.

Me: Hey baby, where's that button? You know, the one that erases your words as you type?

Jason: *stares blankly* What are you talking about?

Me: YOU KNOW, the button that erases words as you type. I can't remember the name of it, and I can't find it.

Jason: WHY in the world would there be a button like that? That would completely defeat the purpose of typing anything to begin with.

*more staring*

Me: It doesn't erase the words you are typing, it erases the other words in front of it. and it's annoying, I need to turn it off.

Jason: Riiight, and then you're going to turn the laptop into a spaceship and fly away. I have no clue what you're talking about.

Anyway, I found the button and turned it off. I showed him what I was talking about and he didn't really say anything. Later though, he admits to me that he never knew what caused that. You know, when you're typing along and you go back to fix stuff and it keeps erasing the words that you really want to keep?

Jason: Yeah, in college, I definitely turned in papers with whole sentences missing because I didn't know what caused that. Turns out there's a button. Hmm.

LOL. This convo came just days after he was making fun of me for being in FBLA in high school. Hell, at least I know what all of the functions on my computer are!

Oh, and P.S.--I'm getting really good at Guitar Hero!
